1 Introductions, apologies and substitutions
1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport, and International Relations Committee.
1.2 The Chair congratulated the Welsh men's football team for qualifying for the Fifa World Cup.
1.3 The Chair also congratulated the team responsible for Wrexham's bid for UK City of Culture 2025.
1.4 The Chair highlighted that in May, the National Music Service was launched to increase opportunities to learn to play an instrument in school. The Chair noted that the UK Music Venues Trust pilot scheme was also launched, to purchase venues and rent them back to operators at a fairer rate to secure their future and help them grow. These were initiatives recommended by this, and the predecessor to this Committee, in the Fifth Senedd.
2 Inquiry into participation in sport in disadvantaged areas: Evidence session with sport charities (1)
2.1 The Committee heard evidence from representatives of StreetGames and Disability Sport Wales.
2.2 StreetGames agreed to provide additional information relevant to the session.
3 Inquiry into participation in sport in disadvantaged areas: Evidence session with sport charities (2)
3.1 The Committee heard evidence from representatives of Urdd Gobaith Cymru and Youth Sport Trust.
4 Inquiry into participation in sport in disadvantaged areas: Evidence session with academics
4.1 The Committee heard evidence from Melitta McNarry, Welsh Institute of Physical Activity, Health and Sport, Swansea University.
4.2 Melitta McNarry agreed to provide additional information relevant to the session.
5 Papers to note
5.1 The papers were noted.
5.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Education and Welsh Language regarding the draft Welsh Language Standards (No.8) Regulations 2022.
6 Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of this meeting
6.1 The Motion was agreed.

7.1 The Committee considered the evidence received.
8 Legislative Consent Memorandum: Online Safety Bill
8.1 The Committee received a legal briefing in relation to the Legislative Consent Memorandum, and agreed to consider a draft report at a future meeting.
8.2 The Committee noted the letter from the Chair of the Children, Young People and Education Committee, and agreed to write to express an interest in attending any future briefing with the UK Government.
9 The Official Languages Scheme for the Sixth Senedd: Draft for consultation
9.1 The Committee considered the draft Official Languages Scheme, and agreed to write to the Commissioner with its view.
